Get to know us & why we do what we do.

Calling and Mission

In the Gospel of Matthew chapter 28 vs 19-20 Jesus commands us to go. Those verses have compelled me to dive into discipleship in a huge way, and it has become a passion of mine. My goal is to train people on the disciplines of discipleship in order for them to fully know how to live out being a disciple and becoming a disciple-maker. I want to train believers in Jesus to know how to fulfill the call from Jesus to go.

History & Background

A bit about me:

One of my passions is to help people figure out how to live out how God has made them, to fully know themselves the way God sees them, and help them live passionately and consistently with Jesus. I believe all the answers for life can be found in the Bible, but studying it alone can be daunting for some and even leave people feeling alone and without answers. Walking through life and Scripture with others not only brings fruit for them, but also builds and develops my relationship with them and God even more. It is something I’d love others to experience and enjoy, and my hope is that I can help them do that through the materials I develop.

Taking the time to lead others is what we see Jesus do through the Gospels. He took the time to teach, instruct, and explain, and didn’t just expect His example to be how they learned. His love for His disciples is felt in every aspect, even toward Judas who turned Him over to the authorities. The way he calls us to follow Him and then join Him in Matthew 28:19-20 gives us a clear direction to follow, and allows us to be active in the greater vision He has for all mankind.

By giving of ourselves in ways that lift up and grow others, we are blessed beyond measure. My hope is that we can teach this duplicating model so many will come to be duplicating disciple-makers.

A bit about my history:

I have been actively involved in ministry since I was in Jr high school. My passion for studying God’s word and learning His Truth has kept me engaged in churches, college ministry, worship and singing ministries, medical missions through a ministry I started after becoming a nurse, and ultimately brought me to running Global Opsarion and focusing on discipleship. As I look back on all the ministry opportunities I’ve been a part of, each of them played a roll in my passion for discipleship, and each of them could have used a better understanding of how to implement Jesus’ directive for us to go and make disciples.

As I’ve entered my 50’s, I’ve felt a gentle turn toward things that will last long after me. My love for people through the way God sees them drives me to develop things that will make a difference in peoples lives for generations to come, and thus my passion for discipleship has grown immensely. My hope is that what I put my time to will develop people while I’m still walking this earth, and then on into the future.

Why I do what I do:

I love seeing people grow, and I love taking them on the journey to meet and live for Jesus and others. So, working toward building impactful times for those who are searching for Truth and real relationships drives me to develop more and more of what GO does. This ministry is an extension of me, and my hope is that many will come alongside Sara and I to join in the fight for hearts and lives for Jesus, and that we will see many take on the call to go just as Jesus commanded.
